2005+ Toyota Tacoma 8-Piece W-I-Y 4.0 Motor Mount Gusset Plate Kit
This 8-piece kit WIY kit made of 10-gauge steel plating captures the inner frame section where the motor mounts are welded from the factory. Looking up at the motor mount, our plate kit includes large plates that are broke-bent and weld on to the face of the motor mount also capturing the underside of the frame. Two more side plates are welded, one in front and one in back of the inner frame thus surrounding the motor mount. Then finally there’s a notched triangle gusset that’s welded onto the rear part of the motor mount adding additional strength and “clearanced” for the steering shaft on the driver’s side. Please keep in mind that there will be some minor fitment involved and welding the passenger’s side is a breeze. The driver’s side has the front differential and the lower steering shaft going into the steering rack that is in the way. The front differential and the lower steering rack shaft should be removed for proper fitment and welding.

W-I-Y Upper Control Arm Double-Shear Kit
Solo Motorsports offers our Upper Control Arm Double-Shear Kit for most late model Toyotas. Our Double-Shear Kit aligns the long factory Upper Control Arm bolt thus strengthening the factory coil buckets. In our long experience in desert racing, double-shearing holds moving parts together longer under extreme conditions. This W-I-Y kit will work with any aftermarket upper control arm setup. Double-shearing plates are CNC plasma cut from 10-gauge cold-rolled steel for high strength.

Toyota Tacoma 2.0 Rear shock Hoop $249
This weld-on shock hoop kit mounts outside of the factory frame enhancing on and off road performance. Most truck manufactures mount their stock shocks outside of the frame. This set up works best with Icon’s 3 leaf add-on or any aftermarket leaf pack. However, we recommend the Deaver Prerunner Pack ($575) to start. An 8”or 10” stroke 2.0 shock is used that mounts on the under-front side of axle housing keeping wheel hoop to a minimum in soft terrain. Any 2.0 shock will work. Some light fabrication and welding is required.

Fully-Fabricated 3” Lift Spindles
Solo Motorsports is proud to offer our Fully-Fabricated 3” Lift Spindles for early model two-wheel drive 96-04 Tacomas, 00-06 Tundras, and 96-02 4Runners. Over 20 years of desert racing fabrication and experience went into the design of our 3” Lift Spindles. Solo Motorsports’ built 3” Lift Spindles are CNC machined from high-grade U.S. steel with a “boxed” high-strength design resulting in a spindle with an off-set of 1 7/8” wider stance per side. This wider stance will eliminate the need for wheel spacers for the guys who want that “Prerunner Look” or for the long travel guys who are seeking to improve desert handling. 12-point grade 8 hardware is used to secure the CNC machined hubs along with grade 8 hardware for the lower spindle attachment. Any aftermarket orSolo Motorsports’ built UCA, upper control arm, with a 1”uniball is necessary.
Our 3” Lift Spindles will work with any factory coilover shock with or without a spacer or aftermarket coilover shock. When our 3” Lift Spindles are used in conjunction with your long travel front suspension, less or relaxed coilover pre-load will result in an improved smoother ride on road and an off road driving experience that’s dramatically improved over the small to medium roller-bumps. To protect the 3” Lift Spindles from the elements, they are powdercoated flat black.
Full factory steering is retained along with higher ground clearance. All 3” Lift Spindles come with new unit hub bearings pre-installed at our facility allowing for an easy bolt-on installation in a little over an hour with basic hand tools or a few hours when a new UCA is added..
Finally, as an upgrade for the hardcore desert racing enthusiasts, we are proud to offer a Fully-Fabricated 1” Lower Uniball/Steering Conversion with 7/8” outer heim joints that are double-sheared. Billet steering connectors to the rack and pinion are also included
Longer brakelines will be required for either a UCA or long travel setup. Also, depending on your UCA manufacturer, a new grade 8 hardware kit maybe required. There is a hub core charge of $300 that’s required or drop off your stock spindles/hubs .
