Weld-it-Yourself RACE-LEGAL Interior Ranger Cab Cage
W-I-Y '93-'97 Ranger X-Cab RACE LEGAL Interior Cab Cage
8-Point W-I-Y Race-Legal Cab Cage is crafted from 2"x.120 wall DOM as the main section and the pontoons under the floor connecting to the frame. All roof webbing is 1.75"x.120 wall DOM. Windshield "A" Bars and Gussets are 1.25"x.120 wall DOM. Pontoons under the floor pick up existing frame holes, which make locating fool-proof. Each tube is Laser-Etched with its own Part Number for easy assembly. All pieces are CNC Pre-Bent and Laser-Notched. This interior cab cage fits together like a puzzle. The top of the 2" main tubes stub out of the upper rear roof section and you connect to your existing bedcage, back-half, or cage-work from there.
Also included with the kit are CNC Pre-Bent pieces connecting the A-Pillars through the firewall to the front of the frame. This will serve as your engine cage starting point. These engine cage tubes are also CNC Pre-Bent to clear the windshield wiper arm on the driver's side under the valance for the Prerunners that want to remain street legal and have full wiper functionality. Your factory dash can be reinstalled after fitment or any aftermarket dash will work.
We provide all tubes seen in pictures of the interior cage and the two front engine cage tubes. Along with the kit are 16 1.25"x.120 wall DOM Laser-Notched roof corner gussets. Roof interior sheet metal must be cut for proper fitment.
To assist you with installation, we have provided a link to our website that includes many photos. These photos depict your starting point all the way to the final tube fitment with estimated measurements.
This W-I-Y kit will work with 1998 and newer Ranger X-cabs with some extra fabrication work. Due to the design on this generation Ranger, the rear cab frame/body mount must be removed to allow room for the lower pontoons. After that, a cab frame/body mounts must be fabricated. Other than that, the interior pieces fit the same as the 1993-1997 Ranger X-cabs.

4.5" Extended Dana 35/44 Beams
Our Dana 35/44 TTB beams are extended 4.5” over stock. They can be ordered with or without 1" uniballs. Each beam receives full plating along with a front gusset on the driver's side beam with a raised fill plug. When 1" uniballs are added to the beam pivot points, additional structural gussettng is added. Each beam is also Cut & Turned to allow for camber & caster.
Included along with the beams, are 1 pair of steering tie-rod connectors and modified axles. Both Dana 35/44 beams will bolt into the stock pivots to run either a coilover or a lift coil in the stock buckets. With our W-I-Y Coilover Conversion and 1.25" Heimed Extended Radius Arms, up to 17 4wd inches is possible. There is a Core Charge for the beams and axles or we exchange at time of purchase or use your beams and axles.

Bronco F-150 Spring Conversion Kit
Our Bronco to F-150 spring conversion kit will allow Bronco owners to run Deaver F-150 race-pack springs. This works exceptionally well in desert and trail situations. F-150 springs combined with longer shackles will allow for farther suspension droop and articulation. Bronco front leaf spring pivot mounts and bolt holes have different dimensions than F-150 trucks. In order to correct this challenge, provided in the conversion kit are 4 machined spacers. Both shackles are MIG welded and use high quality cold-rolled steel. Depending on your driving needs, complimenting your rear suspension with our Bolt-on Rear Upper Shock-Mount Conversion Kit that's under the bed will gain the greatest amount of wheel travel combined with any 2.5" Smooth-Body 10" stroke shock.
Our Kit Includes: 1 pr Longer Shackles, 4 Delrin Bushing Halves, 2 Inner Bushing Sleeves, 4 Machined Leaf Spring Spacers to F-150 Springs, 1 pr Shackle Pivot Relocation Mounts, and all Grade 8 Hardware.
Bronco and F150 Coilover Conversion
Solo Motorsports has taken the guesswork out of converting your Bronco or F-150 to a coilover-converted front suspension. Our coilover engine cage is 80% welded in our fixture before it leaves the shop. Engine cage is made of 1.5”x .120 DOM seamless tubing and fully MIG welded. Each leg of the coilover engine cage picks up at least one to two factory holes in each corner allowing for easy alignment before welding. Our removable over-the-engine crossbar is also included for necessary structural strength. Connecting crossbar points come standard with 3-bolt hole 3/16” thick flange tab plates or upgrade to TIG welded machined inline clamps for added structural strength. The other 20% welding that’s required are burning the frame plates to the frame. Then welding the lower shock mounts to the Dana 44 TTBs.
Our coilover engine cage uses a 2.5” King coilover shock as the primary suspension. Additional shock tabs are available to mount a 2.5” smooth-body or bypass shock behind the coilover shock for extra suspension control. Combined with our Dana 44 Cut & Turned beam work and a pair of our 1.25” Heimed Extended Radius Arms, expect 15” of wheel travel. Running 35” tires without fiberglass fenders is not a problem. Keep in mind, this is a partially “weld-it-yourself” kit. This kit must be installed, suspension cycled, and welded correctly by someone with these skills as this product is a primary suspension component.
Extended Race Radius Arms
Our radius arms complement any Cut & Turned set up or 4” Long Travel Beams with coilover shocks. They are made of 1.75” DOM x.120 seamless tubing, cold-rolled steel plating for strength. These arms come with massive 1.25” heim joints for articulation. Expect up to 12”-13” of 4wd wheel travel with any Cut & Turned beam work and up 17.50” of 4wd wheel travel with 4” Long Travel Beams. Along with the Extended Race Radius Arms is a set of Pivot Boxes, 4 Stainless Steel Misalignment Spacers, Grade 8 Hardware, and a set of 1.25” Heim Joints. Whether you’re trail driving or prerunning the Baja 1000, our radius arms will keep your front end together for the drive home.
Cut and Turned Beams
This is a Do-It-Yourself Bolt-on kit using factory beam frame pivots. Dana 28, 35, 44 Beams are modified at the lower ends to adjust for proper camber alignment thus allowing a 4”-5” coil depending on vehicle. Our 1.25” Extended Race Radius Arms bring the vehicle’s caster back to stock which dramatically effects performance on and off road. The kit also comes with a set of Bilstein 5100 shocks. Also included is a set of stainless brake lines. From our years of experience when your front end is apart, this is a great time to evaluate your beam pivot bushings and gear work. Also, changing the inner front differential driver’s side seal is a must to stop any future axle seal leaks. Run up to 35” tires without front fiberglass fenders with minimal issues.
